Mercedes-Benz Collierville

Township worked with the Higginbotham family to select the appropriate site for its new 43,200 square foot building. The project required assembling the appropriate parcels into a final 7.58 acre site and revising the requirements of the governing planned unit development. Township steered the public review process, including a public road closure, and ultimately managed the project through construction and the warranty period for public improvements.

Lowe’s

Township Development Services streamlined the $8.25 million project of building a Lowe’s in Collierville by providing government approvals and easement acquisitions. This 140,591 square foot building sits on a 16.6 acre site on Byhalia Road in Collierville.

MCR Safety Distribution Center

The development of the 490,000 square foot, $15.4M, MCR Safety Products distribution center in Piperton allowed Township Development to put into practice a variety of services. In addition to assisting in the selection of the design team, we worked on site planning, zoning, and easement acquisition. We wrote two separate grant requests that resulted in over $2.0 M in public funding for infrastructure improvement grants from TDOT and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. In addition to administering those grants, we handled all of the entitlements and consulted on the project’s PILOT tax reduction program with Fayette County.

Red Sulphur Springs Embayment - Pickwick Lake

When an embayment became necessary on Pickwick Lake, Township Development Services coordinated the planning and execution of the Red Sulphur Springs Embayment. This 900 foot channel dredge was a $550,000 project that inclided permitting, design, and development. Additionally, Township Development managed the channel construction, siltation removal, road construction, dredging and site improvements.
